I have found a green wire but it's +12V all the time. So it mentions a pink/black and a green wire but I can't seem to find the pink/black. If your thumb isn't exactly centered, all you press on is the raised portion of the case. Unfortunately it forces the user to be very precise when pressing the side button. That works fine except that they have protected the side button with a raised portion of the case to prevent it from being pressed accidentally. To open the sliders I have to press the side button then press the lock (driver side) or unlock (passenger side) button. On the side of the remote where the thumb is, there is a button. I understand why they designed it that way, so it's a bit of a conundrum. The other nice thing about the long range and 2 way communications is "Did I lock it? As long as I am still within range, I can "unlock" it to hear the 2 beeps, then lock it to hear the single beep.Īs far as the single fob, I am able to open and close the sliders with the fob, but it's a bit cumbersome because of how the remote is designed. Not only does the vehicle start while I'm inside the building, the 2-way communications let's me know that it started. No need to be within line of sight of the vehicle or even be parked on the same side of the building as the fob. Think of it as a "signal strength" advantage, not a "distance advantage". Don't think of the 1 mile range as a way to start the vehicle from a mile away, think of it as a way to start the vehicle from inside the movie theatre, restaurant, place of employment, etc. The 2 way communications is sweet, especially when combined with the 1 mile range.
